प्रसादे सर्वदुःखानां हानिरस्योपजायते । प्रसन्नचेतसो ह्याशु बुद्धिः पर्यवतिष्ठते ॥ ६५ ॥

In that Peace the extinction of all pains ariseth for him, for of him whose heart[1] is peaceful the Reason[2] soon attaineth equilibrium. (65)

नास्ति बुद्धिरयुक्तस्य न चायुक्तस्य भावना । न चाभावयतः शान्तिरशान्तस्य कुतः सुखम् ॥ ६६ ॥

There is no Pure Reason for the non-harmonised, nor for the non-harmonised is there concentration[3]; for him without concentration there is no peace, and for the unpeaceful how can there be happiness? (66)

इन्द्रियाणां हि चरतां यन्मनोऽनु विधीयते । तदस्य हरति प्रज्ञां वायुर्नावमिवाम्भसि ॥ ६७ ॥

Such of the roving senses as the mind[4] yieldeth to, that hurries away the understanding[5], just

  2. Buddhi.
  3. Bhâvanâ.
  4. Manah.
  5. Prajnâ.
