Bird-Lore's Advisory Council WITH some slight alterations and additions, we reprint below the names and addresses of the ornithologists forming Bird-Lore's 'Advisory Council,' which were first published in Bird-Lore for February, 1900. To those of our readers who are not familiar with the objects of the Council, we may state that it was formed for the purpose of placing students in direct communication with an authority on the bird -life of the region in which they live, to whom they might appeal for information and advice in the many difficulties which beset the isolated worker. The success of the plan during the five years that it has been in operation fully equals our expectations; and from both students and members of the Council we have had very gratifying assurances of the happy results attending our efforts to bring the specialist in touch with those who appreciate the opportunity to avail themselves of his wider experience. It is requested that all letters of inquiry sent to members of the Council be accompanied by a stamped and addressed envelope for use in replying.
