Common Sandpipers resort to the coast.
July 16th.—Song Thrush still has eggs.
July 17th.—Mistle Thrushes flocking.
July 19th.—Young Nightjars not yet fledged.
July 21st.—Skylark still has eggs.
July22nd.—Corncrake ceases to call.
Young Common Whitethroats of second brood leave the nest.
July 23rd.—Song Thrush ceases to sing.
July 25th.—Some Skylarks still sing freely.
July 26th.—Turtle Doves cease to coo.
July 27th.—Robin, Chiffchaff, Willow Wren, and Chaffinch begin to sing again.
July 29th.—Whimbrel arrives on the coast.
July 30th.—Chaffinches and Linnets flocking.
July 31st.—Grey Plover, Turnstone, Greenshank, Knot, Curlew-Sandpiper and Sanderling arrive on the coast on their return from the north.
