George The Sixth, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions beyond the Seas KING, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India.

To All To Whom these Presents shall come or whom the same may in anywise concern,

Greeting:

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is necessary and advisable, for the security, defence, peace, order and welfare of Canada, that arrangements should be made to enable heads of the United Nations and Royal Families thereof, to take refuge within the territorial limits of Canada, and thus to promote and encourage the war efforts of the United Nations.

And Whereas, in particular, it is expedient that arrangements should be made to enable the Royal Family of the Netherlands, or members thereof, to continue to take refuge within Canada, and to provide extra-territorial character to any place in which the heir presumptive to the throne of the Netherlands may be confined and in which an heir to such throne may be born.

And Whereas Our Governor General in Council has ordered that a Proclamation be issued accordingly and published in the Canada Gazette.

Now Know Ye that by and with the advice of our Privy Council for Canada and pursuant to the powers vested in Us by the War Measures Act, Chapter 206 of the Revised Statutes of Canada 1927, We do by this Our Proclamation declare and direct:—
