For renewal copyrights, the main entry includes, in addition to the title of the film, the following

1) Length of the film in reels.

2) Name of the author, which is usually the original producing company.

The information relating specifically to the claim claim of copyright is preceded by the copyright symbol © and includes:

1) Original copyright date.

2) Original copyright registration number.

3) Renewal registration number.

4) Date of receipt in the Copyright Office of the information descriptive of the work: renewal application.

5) Name of the renewal claimant followed by an abbreviation representing the claimant's statement of the basis of his renewal—e. g., John Doe (NK) indicates that renewal of copyright is claimed by John Doe as next of kin of the deceased author.
