Class A, BOOKS

Includes books, pamphlets, leaflets, etc., and contributions to periodicals, in two groups arranged alphabetically by author or, if anonymous, by title. The first group contains the titles of books for which printed catalogue cards are issued by the Library of Congress, etc., including the titles of foreign books registered under the act of March 3, 1905, for ad interim protection. The second group contains the titles of pamphlets, leaflets and contributions to periodicals, and all other productions registered under the legal definition "book.", including preliminary court decisions. proceedings of societies, and directories. herd-books etc. The titles included in the second group will be printed in the last weekly number of the Catalouge for each month.

The number at the end of each title, after the notice of copyright, is a citation number by means of which reference is made in the index to this title.

The number at the end of a title and immediately above the copyright printed with a hyhpen, e.g., -18031, is the Library of Congress order number for the printed card for this title.
