Far, far away! Ye rocks divide!

Ye vales! be level as a plain;

Fall down, ye woods, my love that hide,

And let me see her face again—

And bless me with one living glance,

Of that enrapturing countenance.

W kralohradě na zahradě.

In the kingly palace garden

Blooms a roselet fair and bright,

See, it has been sprinkled over

With repeated dews of night.

In the kingly palace garden,

See the bud that rose-tree bears;

Twice—my lovely maid—at even,

Twice—hath bath'd it with her tears.

In the kingly palace garden,

There we poured our last adieu!

And behind that lovely rose-tree,

Gave our parting kisses too.
