It is because people don't think and investigate for themselves. They take the statement of some one who is not able to grasp anything higher than mere physical manifestation, and accept it without question, and pass it on."

"But that isn't fair," I said.

Uncle Rob smiled good-naturedly. "Chet," he said, "had I known nothing about Christian Science a few moments ago when you yourself made that very statement, you would have said what you did just the same, and I might have been misled."
