chosen court, if the agreement is concluded before the Convention enters into force in that Contracting State.

(3) This Act does not apply to any case instituted in a Singapore court before the date of commencement of this Act, or any application made (whether before, on or after the date of commencement of this Act) in any such case.

(4) For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of this Act, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of this Act.

Related amendment to Reciprocal Enforcement of Commonwealth Judgments Act

25. The Reciprocal Enforcement of Commonwealth Judgments Act (Cap. 264, 1985 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after section 2, the following section:

Application
2A. This Act does not apply to any judgment which may be recognised or enforced in Singapore under the Choice of Court Agreements Act 2016.”.

Related amendment to Reciprocal Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act

26. The Reciprocal Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act (Cap. 265, 2001 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after section 2, the following section:

Application
2A. This Act does not apply to any judgment which may be recognised or enforced in Singapore under the Choice of Court Agreements Act 2016.”.
