Statutes Revised. Where the Parliament at Westminster has, since the Government of Ireland Act, 1920, repealed or amended any such enactments so far as they relate to Northern Ireland, such repeal or amendment is shown in the Table.[1]

Miscellaneous.

9. The fact that this Table is intended both now and in the future to be a companion volume to the current edition of the Statutes Revised makes it desirable that it should be easy to distinguish between entries in the Table which are reflected in that edition and those which, because they are subsequent in date, are not i.e. in the case of the Third Edition, all post-1948 entries. With this object a distinguishing mark has been employed (see the note at the head of each page of the Table). If there are no entries with the distinguishing mark against a particular Act, it means that the text of that Act in the Third Edition has been unaffected by subsequent legislation up to the date to which the Table extends: if it is otherwise, the post-1948 entries, being marked with the distinguishing mark and being placed on separate lines, are easily identifiable.

  1. A Chronological Table of the Statutes in Force in Northern Ireland , similar in plan to the present publication, is published by H.M. Stationery Office under direction of the Statute Law Committee of Northern Ireland. These Northern Ireland volumes give information, inter alia, as to Ante-Union Irish Acts.
