Gathered in Kensington Gardens, October 1797. It exactly resembles an Agaric with the lamellæ taken out. Our specimens were seemingly more perfect than these referred to; but do not quite fo well agree with the title of infundibuliformis, or funnel-shaped.

Very plentiful, in October 1797, in the fir plantations of Thomas Walford, Esq. of Birdbrook, Essex, by whose favour I received them. It should seem very nearly allied to Peziza stipitata. The odour was disagreeable.
