CRAIG’S WIFE
95

Catelle

Thank you very much.

Mrs. Craig (moving towards the portières)

I suppose I’d better call the servants too, hadn’t I? They’ll probably know something about it.

Catelle

Yes, I’d like to see them for a minute.

Mrs. Craig (going through the portières)

I’ll call them right away.
[Catelle looks at his watch and rises.

Catelle (crossing towards the portières)

What time have you got there, Harry ?
[He watches keenly through the portières.

Harry

Just seven.

Mazie (out at the right)

Yes, Ma’m?

Mrs. Craig

Would you come here for a minute?

Catelle

Do you mind if I use this ’phone here, Mrs, Craig?

Mrs. Craig

They’ll be right in.
[She enters.

Catelle

Do you mind if I use this ’phone here for a minute?

Mrs. Craig (moving forward)

Not at all, go right ahead. I didn’t hear what you said.

Catelle

I’ve got a call to make at seven o’clock.
