John Baptist and Jerome and an angel, has presented to her, by Faith, Hope, and Charity, a Venetian family ; in background, a palace on a canal with gondolas in front. The palace is the one constructed by Palladio for the Cocina family ; hence supposed its members are represented in the picture, although Rus- kin calls it Veronese himself and his family.
