VELDE Wouwerman, and further developed under the influence of Paulus Potter ; is almost equally import- ant as a painter of figures in the landscapes of famous con- temporaries, like Van der Heyden, Wyn- ants, the Ruis- daels, Hobbe- ma, Frederik Moucheron, etc. Painted some religious and mythological subjects.
