Seats, Trabolgan, Whitegate, co. Cork ; Kilshannig, Rathcormac, co. Cork. FEKMOY, Baron, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Edmund Burke, 1st Baron Fermoy. He was b. Aug. 10, 1815. Sat as M.P. for Cork county 1837 55, and for Marylebone 185965. Was Lord Lieut, and Custos Rotulorum of the county and city of Cork : m. 1848, Eliza Caroline, eldest daughter of James B. Boothby, Esq., of Tywford Abbey, Middlesex. He d. Sept. 1874, leaving issue five sons and three daughters. FERMOY, Baroness, ELIZA CAROLINE, eldest daughter of James B. Boothby, Esq., of Twyford Abbey, Middlesex : m. 1848, the 1st Baron Fermoy, who d. 1874. Residence, 69, Onslow Gardens, S.W. Ferrard, Viscount, title borne by Viscount Massereene. Honour is the reward of valour. FERRERS, EARL. (SHIRLEY.) SEWALLIS EDWARD SHIRLEY, 10th Earl, and a Baronet. Born Jan. 24th, 1847; succeeded his father in 1859 ; was edu- cated at Trinity College, Cambridge, (B.A. 1867, M.A. 1870) ; is a Magistrate and a Dep. Lieut, for Leicestershire and Staf- fordshire, and a Magistrate for Derby- shire. Heir presumptive, His cousin, Walter Knight, son of the Rev. Walter Waddington Shirley, D.D. Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History, and Canon of Christ Church, Oxford, (who d. 1866). B. 1864. Residence, Wyaston-house, Oxford. Sister living, Augusta Amelia, b. 1849, m. 1873 (Palmer.)
