Consecrated 43rd Bishop of Kilmore, 60th of Elphin, -ind 52nd of Ardagh, 1854, translated to Armagh, 109th Archbishop, 1 862, and is 87th Bishop of Clogher, which See has been annexed to the Archbishopric: married, 1st (1824), Mary, daughter of Col. Born 1798; educated at Trinity College, Dublin, (B.A. 1825, M.A. B.D. and D.D. 1860); was Vicar of Kilsalaghan, Dublin; Minister of Bethesda Chapel, 1835, and of Trinity Church, Dublin, 1839 ; Archdeacon of Kildare, 1857. Consecrated 68th Bishop of Cork, 63rd Bishop of Cloyne, and 49th Bishop of Ross, 1862 : married (1830) Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Law, Esq., of Dublin. Palace, St. Finbar's, Cork. DERRY AND RAPHOE, LORD BISHOP OF. The Right Rev. WILLIAM ALEXANDER, D.D., son of the Rev. Robert Alexander, Prebendary of Derry ; educated at Exeter and Brasenose Col- leges, Oxford, (B.A. 1850, M.A. 1857, D.D. 1867) ; was Incumbent of Termonamongan, Fahan, 'Camus-juxta-Mourne, Diocese of Derry, and Dean of Emly, 1865. Consecrated 46th Bishop of Derry, and 55th Bishop of Raphoe, 1867: married (1850) Cecil Frances, daughter of Major Humphreys, J.P. Miltown House, Strabane. Palace, Deny. Club, Athenaeum.
