they were to make us just such another in all respects from their King. And so it was done, though with great labour on our part. Thus we were detained in the city of Diepa till Sunday, owing to their extraordinary jugglery.
On Sunday, St. Mary Magdalene’s day (July 22), the King again went from that castle elsewhere, in the direction of the city of Ruan (Rouen), in Latin Rotomagus, and
