Dear Henry:

I noticed from your MemCon of September 17, 1979, that you have occasional contact with Mahmoud Foroughi. When you next see him I hope you will tell him that Penne and I remember him and his wife most fondly from our days in Kabul.

I agree with you; Foroughi is a real Persian gentleman. I hope you will tell him that is the way I remember him. Tell him also that I hope his family, which includes several children married to Americans, is well and prosepring.
