In the Museum of the Royal Irish Academy a model is preserved of a log hut, discovered in 1833 in Drumkelin bog, Inver (Donegal),[1] made of rough logs and planks of oak timber (Figs. 97, 98), split with "wedges," twelve feet square and nine feet high. "The framework was com-
