(2) The Director shall cancel the registration of a manager of a school—

(a) if it appears to him that the manager is no longer acceptable as a manager of the school to the majority of the management committee; or
(b) at the written request of the manager.

(3) The registration of a person as a manager of a school shall be deemed to be cancelled if, under any provision in this Ordinance, the Director withdraws his approval of the person to be a manager.

Management committees.

Management committee to manage school. 32. Every school shall be managed by its management committee.

Responsibilities of management committee. 33. The management committee of a school shall be responsible for ensuring—

(a) that the school is managed satisfactorily;
(b) that the education of the pupils is promoted in a proper manner; and
(c) that this Ordinance is complied with.

Supervisors.

Approval of first supervisor of school. 34. Subject to section 35, the Director shall approve as the first supervisor of a school the person who is recommended to be the supervisor by the applicant for registration of the school.

Grounds for refusal to approve supervisor. 35. (1) The Director may refuse to approve a person as the supervisor of a school if the Director is not satisfied that the person is a fit and proper person to be the supervisor.

(2) The Director shall not approve a person as the supervisor of a school unless the person is a registered manager of the school.

Tenure of office of supervisor. 36. The supervisor of a school shall hold office until—

(a) he ceases to be a registered manager of the school;
(b) he resigns;
(c) the Director withdraws his approval of the supervisor under section 37; or
(d) the Director approves another registered manager of the school as the supervisor under subsection (2) of section 38.
