Explanation of the Plates.
Orel. Papaveracere. The leaves are pinnatitid, the peduncles liavc spreading hairs, the calyx consists of 2 caducous sepals, en closing 4 crumpled petals, the stamens are indefinite and hypo- gynous, and the ovary is surmounted by a radiating stigma.
