ABSTRACT The text for English as a second language is designed to help Peace Corps volunteers and Korean teachers of English improve English language instruction in South Korea. Topics covered in the units include the environment, contemporary living, careers, health, adventure and travel, and interpersonal communication. Each unit contains a reading selection, notes on grammatical points, sample conversational exchanges, songs or quotations, and writing exercises. (MSE)
