The Essays on Human Action, and on the Systems of Hartley and Helvetius, originally published by Mr. Johnson in 1805, having long since become out of print, it is confidently anticipated that a New Edition, considerably improved as this is from marginal corrections in the Author’s copy, will be hailed as a most acceptable reprint. The Essay on Abstract Ideas has never before been published.
