39. And there I desire to await His promise, who, indeed, never fails. As He promiseth in the Gospel: They shall come from the east and the west and from the south and from the north, and they shall sit with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob; as it is our belief that believers will come from all parts of the world.

40. Wherefore, then, it behoves us to fish well and diligently, as the Lord forewarns and teaches, saying: Come ye after Me and I will make you to become fishers of men; and again, He saith, through the prophets: Lo, I send fishermen and many huntsmen, saith the Lord, and soforth. Whence, then, it greatly behoved us to spread our nets so that a vast multitude and a throng should be taken for God, and that there should be clerics everywhere to baptize and exhort a poor and needy people, as the Lord warns and teaches, saying: Go ye, therefore, now, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father. and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. And again He saith: Go ye, therefore, into the whole world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, hut he that believeth not shall he condemned. And again: This Gospel of the Kingdom shall he preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then the end shall come.

And, the Lord, likewise, foretelling by the prophet, saith: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith the Lord, I will pour out of My spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; and upon My servants indeed, and upon My handmaids, I will pour out in these days of My spirit, and they shall prophesy. And He saith in Osee; I will
