30th Sept. 1680, and consecrated 3rd Oct. following[1]. In 1692 he was translated to Lichfield and Coventry[2].

Edward Jones, bishop of Cloyne in Ireland, was nominated by the King in council to this see 3rd Oct. 1692[3]. He received the royal assent 10th Nov.[4], and was confirmed 13th Dec.[5] The temporalities were restored to him on the 29th of that month[6]. He died 10th May 1703, and was buried on the 13th of that month in the church of St. Margaret, Westminster[7].

George Hooper, dean of Canterbury, was consecrated at Lambeth 31st Oct. 1703[8] and translated to Bath and Wells in March in the next year.

William Beveridge, S.T.P., having been elected bishop of St. Asaph, received the royal assent 26th June 1704[9]. He was consecrated 16th July[10] following, and on the 31st of that month he received the temporalities[11]. He died 5th March 1707-8, ætat. 71.

William Fleetwood, S,T.P., was elected 13th May 1708, confirmed 5th June, consecrated the next day[12], and had the temporalities 8th July. He was translated to Ely in December 1714.

John Wynne, S.T.P., principal of Jesus College, Oxford, and Margaret professor of theology, was elected 11th Jan. 1714-5, confirmed 5th Feb., and consecrated the next day[13]. He was translated to Bath and Wells in 1727.

  7. He is supposed to have sold the deanery to Daniel Price his relative; and the subject was brought before the archbishop 5th June 1700. In June 1701 the archbishop decreed that he should be suspended for six months. The sentence however was continued until 5th May 1702.
