790Aethelheard[9], at first abbot of Malmesbury, afterwards bishop of Winchester, from which he was translated to Canterbury[10]; consecrated 21st July 793, and died in 803[11].
803Wulfred[12], received his pall 804[13]; died in 829[14].
829Fleogild[15], the abbot, chosen 25th April, consecrated 9th June, and died 30th Aug. 829[16].
- Swithred or Syred seems to have been elected, but died before confirmation ; at least, his name occurs in some of the MSS. of Florence of Worcester[17].
830Ceolnoth[18], consecrated in 830, received his pall in 831[19]; he died 870[20].
