DEANS.
The deanery was founded and endowed pursuant to orders in council dated 10th Nov. 1N43 and 31st Jan. ]<S44, arising out of stat. 3 & 4 Vict. 0, u ;. 40. and 6 & 7 Vict < 77. 9, the first of \\hi>-li enacted thai the archdeacon of Llandaff shall from henceforth be also dean of the cathedral church of Llandaff; and the second, that the dignity and office of archdea- con of Llandaff may be separated from the deanerj of Llandaff, provided always thai rach separation shall nut take place before tin- next vacancy "I" tin- said deanery without the consent < >f tin- present dean.
