The temporalities were restored to him 3rd Juno 1 '- 2 , He was translated to Durham in 1 7S7. 1 707 George Peetym \\ was nominated 19th Feb. 1787, and hi. elected on the 26th. Ho received the royal assent on the 28th of the same month 11 . He was confirmed 10th March, consecrated on the nth 14 , and the temporalities were restored to him 15th March 15 . He was translated to Winchester in 1820, having changed his name to Tomline, and died in 1827. 1820 Hon. George Pelham, bishop of Exeter, was nominated Geo. iv. [8th Aug. 1820, and elected 1 2th Sept.: the royal assent t<> his election was given 20th Sept. \ and lie was confirmed 10th Oct. 17 , on which day the temporalities were ordered to be restored to him 18 . Ob. ~th Feb. [827, eetat. 60. 1.S27 John Kaye, bishop of Bristol, the present holder of feo.IV. the see. was nominated 12th Feb. [827, and elected on the 23rd : the royal assent to his election was or- dered to be given on the 24th of the same month"-'. He was confirmed 1st March 20 , and the temporalities were restored to him 2nd March- 1 . The bishopric is rated for first fruits at 828/. 40. <./.</. The arms of this see are thus blazoned: (Jules, two lions passant guardant or; in a chief azure, our Lady sit- ting with her' Babe, crown and sceptre of the second.
