He was the lasi that enjoyed this dignity; for the
inquisition into the revenui - and riches of the Beveral
cathedrals, fee. coming on soon after, Henry VIII,
6th June 154c. seized all the treasures belonging to
this cathedral, and the office consequently entirely
ceased.
