Spooner, 3 B. & Aid, 283. �These authorities seem to demonstrate that, if Eonald had 6een fit the next day to file a bill to foreclose this mortgage, Groves could not have shown in defence a paroi agreement that no action should be taken upon it until his stock had been sold. If euch be the case, then it clearly did not oper- ate to extend the time for the payment of Mayes' debt. Again, in order to release the sureties the extension must be for a definite time.
