Santa Fe Road Thursday, June 9, 1910 June 9, 1910

Awoke at 6 a.m., somewhere in N. Mex. New Mexico Had a fine nights sleep. Breakfast on diner, strawberries, wheat cakes coffee and waiter 70¢. Lunch - fish, raspberries and ice cream, and waiter $1.10. About 2 p.m. we were stopped at Grants Grants, NM, in western [New] Mexico by a wreck 7 miles ahead. Started on at 5:20 2 h 58 m behind time. Dinner in diner American Plan at 6 p.m. $1.00. Hot through day and cool breeze toward evening. Retired at 10 p.m.

Had a cool night and slept well. Arose at 6 a.m. having forgotten the change to Pacific time. Breakfast on diner strawberries, farina, toast, coffee 85¢. Mrs. Ella Davis Roberts, of Denver, formerly of Telluride and a friend of Mrs. Rohwer and a Mrs. La Forgue, had the berth opposite mine. Her husband is a physician and druggist. Reached Los Angeles Los Angeles, CA at 3:10 p. m., 40 minutes late. Nellie, Alice, Ina and Dr. Carter met me at train. Trunk did not
