Long Beach, Cali., Thursday July 28, 1910

Fine cool morning, breezy, cloudy at first, soon clearing. Sent my trunk to Los Angeles on morning "Salt Lake" train. In afternoon we all went to Denver ((?)). I got my ticket validated, rechecked my trunk to Santa Fe, and we dined at Frank's house, returning to Long Beach on the 10 p.m. car

A beautiful morning, cool and breezy. At 3 p.m. Nellie and I took the Pacific Flyer for Los Angeles, Dr. carter coming later. Went out to Frank's house. Took the 8 p.m. train on the Santa Fe Road for Santa Fe. Got ticket from Lamy to Santa Fe yesterday so as to check my trunk clear through, 75[cents]. Validation fee on my return ticket 50[cents]. I left Los Angeles at 8 p.m., fine cool breeze.
