TRANSACTIONS OF THE FOLK-LORE SOCIETY.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19th, 1918.

The President (Dr. A. C. Haddon) in the Chair.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

The death of Mr. G. R. Dampier and the resignations of Mrs. Janvier and Mrs. Burgess and the withdrawal of the subscription of the Oriental Institute, Vladivostock, were announced.

Miss Moutray Read read a paper entitled " Further Studies in Irish Folk-Lore" ; and in the discussion which followed, the Chairman, Miss Hull, Professor Baudes, and Mr. Longworth Dames took part.

In illustration of the paper Miss Moutray Read exhibited a pair of Limerick gloves, lent by Miss Burne.

The meeting terminated with a hearty vote of thanks to Miss Moutray Read for iier paper.
