There's fifty fair maidens, that sports on the green,
I gaz'd on them well as you see ;
But the Maid of the Mill, the Maid of the Mill,
The Maid of the Mill for me.
She is straight and tall as a poplar tree.
Her cheeks are red as a rose.
She is one of the fairest young girls I see,
When she's dress'd in her Sunday clothes.
