Baptism
¶ Let the Godfathers say the names of their godsons.
¶ Cel. What do you all request of the Holy Church?℞. We request Faith, the belief in God.
Cel. What will this Faith, the belief in God, give you all?℞. It will give us eternal life.
¶ Naming the baptized, say:
Cel.N and N. Juan, and Maria, etc. This is eternal life; love the Lord your God with all your hearts and with all your souls, and your neighbors, as yourselves; this is the first and greatest commandment.
¶ Breathe upon everyone three times, and say:
Cel.BEgone from them ✠ unclean spirit, and give way to the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.
