ther child, and ſo diſcloſed all the matter to my huſband, to prevent my coldneſs to his embraces. This made him fall into ſo deep a melan- choly, that he twice attempted to de- ſtroy himſelf, but was prevented. At length, I obtained his leave, to return to England, which I did, after eight years ſtay in that country. Landing at Milford Haven, and ſoon after in London.
Soon after, I went to Bath, where
I was courted by a gentleman, and from whom I received ſeveral preſents, viz. 1oo guineas at one time, and 50 at another, for taking care of him in a fit of illneſs. In ſhort I took him for my beſt friend; but at length he got me with child, and I was delivered of a fine boy. From Bath we remov- ed to Hammerſmith, near London.
