15. Ic ēow sealde bȳsene þæt gē dōn swā ic ēow dyde.[1]

16. Sōþlice ic ēow secge, Nys sē ðēowa furðra þonne his hlāford; nē ǣrenddraca nys mǣrra þonne sē þe hyne sende.[2]

17. Gif gē þās þing witon, gē bēoð ēadige gif gē hig dōð.[3]

18. Ne secge ic be ēow eallon; ic wāt hwylce ic gecēas; ac þæt þæt hālige gewrit sȳ gefylled þe cwyþ, Sē þe ytt hlāf myd mē āhefþ hys hō ongēan mē.[4]

19. Nū ic ēow secge ǣr þām þe hyt gewurþe, þæt gē gelȳfon, þonne hyt geworden bið, þæt ic hit eom.[5]

20. Sōð ic ēow secge, Sē ðe underfehð þone þe ic sende underfēhð mē; sē þe underfehp mē underfehþ ðone ðe mē sende.[6]

21. Ðā sē Hǣlend þās þing sǣde, hē wæs gedrēfed on gāste, and cȳðde and cwæð, Sōð ic ēow secge þæt ēower ān mē belǣwð.[7]
