Lastly, in this same province, and south of Shiraz, between it and the sea, on one of the lower grades of the plateau, both at Sarvistan, Ferash-Abad, and FerQz-Abad, the still imposing re- mains which until quite recently were considered as works of the Sassanidae are encountered, along with scanty fragments of the Achaemenidae. It has been sought to prove that they all belong to the latter.
