The Spies return from surveying Canaan

Numbers xiii. 1.

The children of Israel were thus wonderful led by the Lord throughout all their journey until they arrived safely on the borders of the land of Canaan. There God desired Moses, to send men to search the land of Canaan. And Moses sent twelve men, one man from each of the tribes (illegible text) families of Israel, and said unto them. "Go, see the land what it is, and the people that dwell there in, whether they be strong or weak, few or many and what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
