and put incense in them before the Lord to-morrow and it shall be, that the man whom the Lord does choose, he shall be holy." And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incence thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernac of the congregation with Moses and Aaron. Ar(illegible text) Korah gathered all the congregation against them and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation. And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, “Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment." But Moses and Aaron fell upon their faces, and entreated the Lord to spare the congregation. And the Lord commanded Moses to speak unto them, and say, "Get you up from about tho tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, amd Abiram." So Moses spake these words unto them and they obeyed him, and departed from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Then Moses said unto them, “If these men die the common death of all men, then the Lord hath not sent me; but if the Lord open the mouth of the earth, and swallow them up, and all that pertaineth unto them then ye shall know that these men have provoked the Lord." And it came to pass, as ho had made an end of speaking these words, that the ground clave asunder under them; and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah. And there came out fire from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense. Then the congregation murmured against Moses, saying, “Yo have killed the people of the Lord." And the Lord was angry with the children of Israel, and smote them with a plague; which, however, was stayed by the intercession of Aaron.
