In the foreground is a high dune, rising to the right and overgrown with bushes and trees. A road leads away from it to the left into the distance. On the dune are two shepherds. In the right foreground, near the side of the dune, is a shallow pool, in which stand some cows. On the road a wayfarer meets a horseman. An early work.
