She holds out some grass to a sheep, and lays her right hand on its head, above which is seen the head of another sheep. In the centre is a view towards a river, on the farther bank of which rises a church tower. On the left is the girls' little brother, dressed in scarlet, who leads a lamb by a string with his right hand and holds a little stick in his left. In front of him are large-leaved plants. She offers a twig to a goat, which a little boy in a broad-brimmed hat, kneeling, holds by its head. The figures are life size. The picture was at times ascribed to J. G.
