He is in black, with a cloak over his left shoulder and a white ruff. Greyish-brown background. Inscribed on the right, "JET A SV^E 48 (and under this) AN 1624" i panel, 29 inches by 21 inches. He has short brown hair, moustaches, and a small beard. He wears a black satin doublet and a big white ruff. Light-grey background. Signed in the right centre with the monogram, and inscribed, 11 JET AT. SVJE (and under this) AN 1633" (the figures for his age seem to have been cut away) ; canvas, 25 inches by 19^ inches. [Compare 242.] Inscribed, "AETAT SVAE 32 AN 1638" (the last numeral is not clear) ; canvas, 34 inches by 26^ inches.
