He wears a coat with a close-fitting white collar having a scalloped edge and a cloak hanging from the left shoulder and round the left arm. Canvas, 22^ inches by 18 inches. His left hand is at his breast ; the other hand is not shown. He has a moustache and a small pointed beard. He is in black, with a white collar and cuffs edged with lace.
