To the right of a table in the centre stands a peasant, in profile to the left, who pours out a glass of liquor. To the right behind him is a small three-legged stool ; behind it are two figures. In the left foreground a smoker sits on a chair with his legs crossed. Behind him another man sits at the table, leaning his head in his right hand and waiting for his glass to be filled.
