The foaming stream rushes down on the right between banks and stones, and forms a broad sheet of water in front. On a grassy hill in front is a big sheep, over whose back is seen another. Beyond on a rough green bank lie felled trees, with sheep reposing. The shepherd, leaning on his staff, converses with a woman who is seated on a tree-trunk.
