96 Houdini's Paper Magic is a bottom for the inner part a little over half an inch above, as shown by dotted lines, and in the centre of this is an opening which is plugged by a cork as shown. This is for the purpose of letting the water out when it is

not in use. The outside of this tube is covered with strips of paper ribbon pasted haphazard over its surface, and in the space at the bottom is a roll of paper ribbon of the same colors as the clippings. This must fit tightly, so that it will not drop out, and the end of the inner coil drawn out a little, so as to be easily get-at-able. The cylinder is of light cardboard, about an
