HER ANSWER TO A SCEPTICAL LETTER

THE world so deafens you, you do not hear
A voice that calls and calls to you in vain!
Though you refuse His joy He holds you dear
And gives to you his anguish and His pain.

Do you not feel that life can never die?
You love, you hate, you strive, do you not guess
What power is yours through all eternity
To live, yourself, mighty to curse or bless?
