The language of both the pamphlets is so vile and scurrilous, that considering Vidyasagar's character and the gravity of his ordinary style of composition, it can hardly be believed to have emanated from the pen of that able writer, and that he could ever have indulged in such vulgar witticism and ribaldry. To satisfy the curiosity of the reader, we quote below a paragraph from the "Ratna-Pariksha":—
