Fill the tumbler one-half full with shaved ice, the balance with water; dash with raspberry syrup, ornament with fruits in season, and serve with straws.


Soda Lemonade.

(Use large soda-glass.)

  • Take 1½ table-spoonful of powdered white sugar.
  • Take Juice of half a lemon.
  • Take 1 bottle of plain soda-water.
  • Take 2 or 3 small lumps of ice.

Stir np well, and remove the ice before serving.

Seltzer Lemonade may be made by substituting Seltzer water for the Soda.


Egg Lemonade.

(Use large bar-glass.)

  • Take 1 large table-spoonful of pulverized white sugar,
  • Take Juice of half a lemon.
  • Take 1 fresh egg.
  • Take 2 or 3 small lumps of ice.

Shake up thoroughly, strain into a soda-water glass and fill up the glass with soda or Seltzer water. Ornament with berries.


Orgeat Lemonade.

(Use large bar-glass.)

  • Take 1 table-spoonful of powdered white sugar
  • Take ½ wine-glass of orgeat syrup.
  • Take The juice of half of a lemon.
